Did this totally in prismacolor pencils, with a few dabs of white and black acryllic here and there for highlights. Just a male chine dragon with a little twist of my own, and blue. ^^

There will be a female and baby to go with the image. All three will be up for auction on furbid. :)

"The bird fights its way out of the egg. The egg is the world. Who would be born first must destroy a world. The bird flies to God. That God's name is Abraxas" - Hermann Hesse, Demian
One word: Serenity.
I think that describes the entire pic.
The dragon is, as angelwolf said, cute. Not pokemon-chibi-kawaii-cute, but the subtle adorableness of a young crocodile or a tree lizard. Its big eyes and small round muzzle are the main culprits of this, but beyond cute, they add to the serenity factor I talked about. The muzzle reminds me of a horse's rather than any reptile, the mammaliant hint making him warm, making me think he is capable of smiling, frowning and all the rest of those mouth expressions. But he's not doing any of those, he just looks at you with a gem-like eye, almost as a buddha or a meditating monk would. Despite his majestic, awesome and poweful form, he is not arrogant or vain, he just... is. Very zen, very oriental and very blue.
Why blue? Blue is water, calm, serene, flowing. Blue is the infinite sky and the fathomless ocean. Blue is the calm mind, the higher awareness, the ability to mold around one's surroundings, coexist, and nurture.
But besides blue colour and cute facial features, there are other very striking attributes to your dragon. Love his horns, shaped like deer horns and made of pure white. White is light, and the horns are a crown... so I would think of him as a just, wise king. His claws are also white, meaning they are clean, ergo, he has not shed the blood of others.
The hair is beyond beautiful, Bliss. You really outdid yourself with it. It actually looks silky, waving in the wind. Dark purple, I think, is a perfect colour. Another colour of royalty, plus it matches excellently with the whites, blacks and blues.
His pose is also admirable, all those twists and coils, it makes him look very dynamic. He looks active, but not in this chaotic wasting of energy, but slow, graceful movements as he walks through the heavens.

All in all, what else is there to say? It's a beautiful creature, Bliss. You should be proud of him.

And I can't wait to see the female and baby ;)

Your worth is measured not by how much you are loved, but by how much you love.
That ish a beautiful dragon. I absolutely love the color scheme you gave him. He looks all kyoote and fluffy, but not sickeningly kyoote or anything(I do like sickeningly kyoote things anywayz) . His eye for some reason reminds me of the ying/yang symbol...was that intentional or am I jus' seeing things? Either way, you've completed another breathtaking piece!

OOooooo... I like much....I bet you had "fun" with trying to come up with a good position for the hind legs, eh? I always find the hind legs hard, yet you've concoured(sp?) the problem.
